My research primarily focuses on the systematics and evolution of mollusks, at the species level as well as at higher phylogenetic levels. I use my empirical studies to tackle broader issues of general interest for other systematists and evolutionary biologists, such as species delineation, biological nomenclature, and macro-evolutionary transitions. I am also interested in the history and philosophy of science, which helps understand the depth of scientific concepts and can also lead to challenge current practices and ideas.
