QSB faculty engage in quantitative and interdisciplinary biology research and education across the biological sciences. They are housed in seven different academic departments at UC Merced, including Molecular and Cellular Biology, Life and Environmental Sciences, Biological Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Cognitive and Information Sciences, and Applied Mathematics. Our faculty also include researchers from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the DOE Joint Genome Institute.
