Bio: 
Bailey-J Sanchez is a first-year Ph.D. student. He graduated from CSU Fresno in May 2020 with a B.S. in biology and minor in chemistry. He is excited to begin this new journey of his life working with Dr. Juris Grasis and Dr. Rudy Ortiz. His main research interests are in the fields of virology, microbiology, and human/animal physiology and he is currently establishing a research project alongside his PIs. Overall, he is excited to be a part of the growth of UC Merced, especially with regards to research. Some of his hobbies include spending time with family, playing basketball, working on gaming PCs, watching sci-fi movies/shows, and listening to music, new and old.
